Long Service Awards – Non-Clinical Workforce
We are delighted to launch our Long Service Awards for Non-Clinical colleagues, celebrating those who have reached 25 years or more in general practice.
Non-clinical roles might include receptionists, medical secretaries, care coordinators, navigators, practice and PCN managers, administrators, finance, and IT staff – as well as many other vital roles that support NHS services.
Your 25 years do not need to have been spent in the same role or organisation. Your career may have taken you through a number of different non-clinical roles across the NHS.
We are planning a special afternoon tea to celebrate your long service and the valuable contribution you have made over the years.
If you are eligible (or know someone who is) and would like to join us and other long-serving colleagues, please complete our short questionnaire HERE and we will be in touch with further details.

Wellbeing Sessions for your team
Our Health and Wellbeing team can provide bespoke sessions for PCNs and practice teams, supporting team health, stronger working relationships and open conversations about wellbeing at work. Dedicated support is also available for managers and leaders as well as 1:1 support if needed.

Could an apprenticeship help grow your workforce?
We’re working with the PMA to help practices and primary care employers across Coventry and Warwickshire explore how apprenticeships could support their workforce.
Apprenticeships can be used to upskill existing members of staff as well as recruit and develop new talent, helping you to address skills gaps, support career progression and improve retention.
Funding may also be available. Employers recruiting apprentices aged 16-24 may be eligible for 100% training funding, while some employers unable to access full government funding may be able to receive additional bursary support. Eligibility and availability apply.

Carer Support Network (Revised Dates)
For GPs with caring responsibilities from across Coventry & Warwickshire
Connect with other GPs, share experiences, and build your support network.
Whether you are caring for children, relatives, or others, these sessions offer a relaxed space to chat, reflect, and feel supported alongside your clinical role.
Parental Leave Support Network (Revised Dates)
Connect with other GPs, share experiences, and build your support network.
The network will be designed to bring together Coventry and Warwickshire GPs who are approaching, having or have recently completed time away from practice due to the arrival of their baby (or babies), with the aim to provide networking opportunities and support for soon-to-be and new GP parents within Coventry and Warwickshire.
GPN Team
Preceptorship & Induction Programme
A period of induction supported by a Legacy mentor Nurse or preceptor, helping you become familiar with your new clinical environment and complete the statutory and mandatory training needed to maintain a healthy, safe working environment.

Wider Workforce
Principles of Primary Care: How Modern Primary Care Works
A Protected Learning Time session exploring how modern Primary Care works, held in person at the Holiday Inn, Kenilworth. Tuesday 6 October 2026, 7.15pm to 8.45pm (free).
Women in Leadership
A high-impact leadership programme for women, developing the confidence, visibility and influence needed to lead in today’s healthcare environment (facilitated by Gail Gibson). Applications close 18 September; the programme runs on 24 November 2026.
Presenting with Confidence
A fundamentals session covering the core principles of building and delivering a confident presentation. 28 September 2026, 9.30am to 12.30pm (places limited).
