Bidford Health Centre, Brownsover Medical Centre, and Stratford Collaborative PCN have all completed the NHSE Quality Assurance process. From the team at the Training Hub, we would like to congratulate all on this achievement!

What is the Quality Assurance Process?

The NHSE Quality Assurance Framework assesses whether a practice or PCN has the environment, governance, and culture to support learners. It covers six areas: learning environment and culture, educational governance, supporting learners, supporting supervisors, delivering programmes and curricula, and workforce development. Completing it is the formal first step to hosting students and trainees in general practice.

Once your practice or PCN is Quality Assured, you can host learners from across the region. This includes student nurses, aspiring paramedics, and trainee GPs. Practices that host students often recruit from the same cohort later, so it can directly help with staffing down the line. QA status is recognised by the GP School and other local health education institutions across the region

How can the Training Hub team support you through this process?

Our team runs an initial call to walk you through the process and assess where your practice currently sits. From there, you get a dedicated Learning Assurance and Placement Officer who stays with you through the self-assessment, the MDAT Panel, and the NHSE Quality Recognition Recommendation Panel. Once approved, someone from our team visits to hand over your certificate in person and congratulate you on passing this process.

We have already taken multiple practices and PCNs through this process. If yours has not started yet, get in touch and we will take it from there.
