Coventry and Warwickshire Training Hub invite you to our first Away Day specifically for Pharmacy Technicians.
Objectives:
- Consider the role of the Pharmacy Technician in hypertension and practice taking BP
- Understand the Pharmacy Technician role in medicines safety with a focus on opiates with guest speaker Aman Bhandal from the WMAHSN
- Look at how the pharmacy technician can help support a Greener NHS with reference to inhalers and IIF indicators
- Share best practice to gain a greater understanding of how a pharmacy technician can have an impact in a PCN.
As part of the day, we would like to hear about local QI projects or initiatives so you will need to be prepared to share this with your peers. To practise BP skills you will need to bring a manual sphygmomanometer and stethoscope or automated BP monitor so see if you can borrow this from your practice.
