This is a 2 day course on 5th and 12th February. Please make sure you are available to attend both days.

Learning Outcomes:

  • How to take a “good consultation”
  • To gain a better understanding of how to diagnose and treat certain minor illnesses
  • To gain a wider knowledge of medicine management, when to prescribe and what to prescribe
  • To gain a better understanding of when to initiate tests which may help with the management of the illness
  • Develop knowledge on how to discuss the patient’s options and proposed plan of management with them
  • To know when to refer a patient to see another health professional
  • Allows discussion of relevant practice problems and their solutions
  • Understand the importance of ongoing professional development
