Learning Outcomes:

  • Knowledge of all methods of contraception with specific development in skills of delivering emergency contraception
  • Enable discussion of all methods with patients
  • To help general contraceptive consultations and history taking
  • Specific development in skills of delivering the repeat prescription scenario*
  • Feel confident in giving regular depo-provera injections and giving appropriate advice*
  • Understand the importance of a good referral pathway for all methods
  • Allows discussion of relevant practice problems and their solutions
