This is a unique skills session with real people known as 'Associate Clinical Educators (ACEs)' (not SINMAN) who are specially trained educators, skilled in examination and who give real-time feedback to the learners. The session is for Physician Associates, Primary Care Paramedics, ACPs, and ANPs who would benefit from skill training in Breast Examination; that is often difficult to access in clinical practice.
The 3 hour session includes:
- Review/simulation of Breast Examination with Clinical Trainer
- Clinical Breast examination working in pairs with the ACE
- Time for Q&As
Each student will have the opportunity to examine the ACE and receive feedback with enough time for questions
The session will require a small amount of pre-reading - sent upon registration to the course and there may be time for discussion around clinical presentations. The session is primarily an introductory examination session but will include all necessary skills.
We would recommend consolidation and observed review and 'sign off' of your skills in practice.
The cost of the course is £25 to cover the cost of the specialist training associates - CPD funding can be used if applicable to your role, if eligible for CPD please pay to book and reclaim via an invoice from your practice/PCN
This event is funded, through the Training Hub, by public money. Non-attendance therefore comes at a cost to patients, the NHS, and the public. Spaces at our events might be limited and your absence may prevent others from benefiting from the opportunity. For cancellations less than 72 hours prior to the course start date and all ‘no-shows’, we reserve the right to charge a £50.00 administration fee.
