This course is for Practice nurses to equip them with the knowledge, confidence and skills to complete Holistic Cancer Care Reviews for patients at 12 months after diagnosis and manage Cancer as a long term condition

Content will include:

  • Changing story of cancer
  • Personalised Care
  • What is cancer?
  • Urgent referrals
  • Cancer treatments and side effects
  • Consequences of treatment
  • Unmet needs of cancer patients
  • Communication skills
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Sign posting
  • How to conduct a CCR review, identifying patients and using the Emis Templates
  • Mindfulness

This course will take place on the following dates and times:

  • Day 1, 11th January 9.15-16.15
  • Day 2, 17th January 9.15-16.15
  • Day 3 25th January 9.15-13.00
