We welcome Dr Alex Doney to talk about the real-world clinical implementation of genomic medicine.
Dr Doney is a Clinical Reader at the University of Dundee, Medical School and Honorary NHS Consultant Physician in NHS Tayside .
He has had a long term interest in research and clinical implementation of Genomic Medicine and its potential for improving the safety and efficacy of medicines.
He led the clinical implementation initiative for genetic testing for clopidogrel efficacy in Tayside. This initiative is now being expanded to testing for other medicines and other genetic variants.
