Learning outcomes
On completion of all aspects of this learning programme you should be able to:
- describe the different types of inhaler devices and their instructions for use
- outline how the delivered dose is made in each type of device
- explain the technique required to achieve the optimum inspiratory flow for each device
- discuss the potential implications of sub-optimal inhaler technique
- demonstrate your role as a healthcare professional in optimising inhaled medicines.

- We expect you to prepare for our events by completing all pre-workshop activities. Details of these will be emailed to you by the tutor or can be found via your My bookings page.
- Before the event make sure you know where the venue is, and allow sufficient time for travel.
- Please arrive on time. If you arrive after the start time, the facilitator may not be able to admit you to the workshop.
- Please ensure that you can attend for the entire workshop – attendance will only be marked if you attend and participate fully.
