Anyone who works at a Coventry & Warwickshire GP practice is welcome to attend this Learning Disability Awareness training session.
These sessions will be delivered by Alison Tse and Karen Dowey, who are Learning Disability Nurses in the Community Learning Disability Team.
The content will include topics such as (but not restricted to):
- What is a learning disability?
- Learning Disability Annual Health Checks
- Making Reasonable Adjustments for someone with a learning disability
- Discussion of findings from the LeDeR programme (LeDeR is Learning from lives and deaths - people with a learning disability and autistic people)
- Helpful online resources
The course is also running on the following dates and times:
- Thursday 27th October: 13:00 – 14:00
- Thursday 3rd November: 10:00 – 11:00
- Wednesday 16th November: 10:00 – 11:00
- Thursday 26th January: 13:00 – 14:00
This training is being delivered by Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (via the Community LD Team)
