A series of half day face-to-face Diabetes Update meetings are being provided by Coventry and Warwickshire ICB.
The Coventry and Warwickshire Primary Care Diabetes Network (co-chaired by Professor Vinod Patel and GP Jim McMorran) will update on "hot topics" in type 2 diabetes via short talks and interactive case studies. There will also be a market place, to include latest information and guidance from Abbott Freestyle Libre, Dexcom, Momenta and others.
Topics to be covered will include:
- Non-insulin injectable therapies – past, present, and future
- Insulin guideline re-visited
- CGM revisited (ICB policy including NICE)
- SGLT2 basics, intricacies, and case studies
- Streams:
- Stream 1 - stepwise therapies in Type 2 Diabetes - from metformin to insulin; case study based
- Stream 2 - MODY, LADA, Flatbush - case study based
- Panel Questions
