Lifestyle Medicine (LSM) will consist of six modules that align to the pillars of LSM.
(To be awarded a certificate, all sessions must be attended and each session is open for registration without certification)
In addition to the pillars, there will be a wide focus on selfcare, self-management and resources linked to those. The emphasis is on how to communicate with patients and help them make connections between lifestyle changes and their symptoms.
The sessions will explore how the basic pillars of lifestyle medicine relate to the underlying imbalances of all chronic diseases, providing attendants with a rationale to guide their conversations with patients. It is about essential knowledge that can be shared in and outside clinic to motivate people towards meaningful change.
The six sessions topics are:
- Module 1: Energy X Fuel: nourishing the systems to invest in change (22nd January)
- Module 2 :Modern Life and Inflammation: learning to address the barriers (12th February)
- Module 3: Sleep and Biorhythms: the living pace of humans (26th March)
- Module 4: Motivation, Movement and Exercise (30th April)
- Module 5: Emotions, Relationships & Social Context (21st May)
- Module 6: Environment and Biotransformation (25th June)
