This month’s PLT time (Wednesday 4 March) for Rugby is ‘in-house’. This means your practice may be using the session to run internal training such as BLS or other topics. Please use this funded time for some much-needed breathing space, along with practice development activities or activities to support wellbeing.

If you are not attending organised training within your practice, the following learning opportunities are available via the Training Hub. There is an extensive library of previous CPD sessions available on the Training Hub website.

We can recommend the following sessions:

  • 21 January 2026 – Paediatrics (Coventry & Warwickshire North PLT) including paediatric asthma update, sleep issues and sickle cell anaemia.
  • 22 January – Frailty PLT for South Warwickshire – if you missed this session, it includes an overview of the frailty services available, supporting the interface between primary and secondary care.

Lunchtime sessions including acute mental health in children, managing irregular bleeding, epilepsy management and many more.

Principles of Primary Care – This is an education offer for the whole workforce to support your entry into the world of Primary Care. Themes include insights into Population Health, Integrated Care Systems, Primary Care Networks and Finance in Primary Care. It also offers introductions to leadership, coaching and mentoring, and education.

Please signpost any relatively new staff members to the website, which includes a helpful video library as well as information about upcoming live sessions.

Thank you all again for your engagement with the Primary Care education programme. Please continue to promote our sessions and WhatsApp group to your team, and do get in touch with us for feedback or topic suggestions.

**Please note: Lunchtime teaching on Zoom 4 March 2026, 1.00 - 2.00 pm ‘DBS Support’ **this session is also open to all Practice Managers
