About this event

An hour-long session aimed to provide an update for primary care teams on the national agenda for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease, including why lipid management is a priority, and practical advice regarding cardiovascular disease risk assessment and intervention, secondary prevention interventions, how to identify potential Familial Hypercholesterolaemia patients and finally focusing on things to consider with medication.    

Session objectives:

  1. Primary prevention of cardiovascular disease
  2. Management of hypertension
  3. Management of atrial fibrillation

Intended audience

This event is open to all healthcare professions in primary care and other sectors who are involved in cardiovascular disease risk assessment and management, which includes GPs, practice managers, nurses (community, practice-based), health care assistants, pharmacists (community, ICB, practice-based), social prescribers, health and wellbeing coaches, paramedics, physician associates etc.
