Wood End Health Centre are recruiting for an enthusiastic, motivated salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team.

About us

We are a busy urban practice, serving a growing population of 8000 patients. We are dedicated, caring and enthusiastic about providing high quality healthcare for our community. We currently have three GP partners, two salaried GPs, Practice Nurse, Nurse Associate, Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy technician, Paramedic, Physiotherapists and Social Prescribers.

The practice has a strong training and development ethos with placement provision for Resident doctors, GP specialist post-graduate doctors in training and medical students from Warwick Medical School.
As a partnership team we bring a wealth of experience in managing the ever-changing challenges and demands of General Practice and of our practice population. We are a supportive team recognising and valuing the importance of professional development, working collaboratively, feeling valued and a good work life balance. We are passionate about working to improve health inequalities through excellent Primary Care provision and are looking for a like-minded GP to join our team.

Clinical responsibilities

  • 5 – 7 session salaried position
  • Start date August 2026, happy to wait for the right candidate

  • Manage a varied caseload of booked, urgent, and emergency appointments, conducting face-to-face and telephone consultations.
  • Assess and manage undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
  • Undertake home visits when clinically necessary.
  • Make safe, autonomous clinical decisions in line with GMC guidelines.
  • Create, review, and maintain clear medical records and care plans.
  • Safely prescribe, review, and action medications and correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Administrative & Governance:
  • Participate in practice audits, clinical meetings, and Quality Improvement (QI) activities.
  • Adhere to all practice policies, clinical guidelines, and CQC standards.
  • Actively contribute to an efficient, collaborative multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

Essential

  • Newly qualified and experienced GPs both welcome to apply
  • MRCGP (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Full GMC Registration with a License to Practice.
  • Included on the NHS Performers List
  • DBS
