This is a 2.5 day course on 7th Sept, 14th Sept and either 20th Sept or 28th Sept. Please make sure you are available to attend all dates
This course is for Practice nurses to equip them with the knowledge, confidence and skills to complete Holistic Cancer Care Reviews for patients at 12 months after diagnosis and manage Cancer as a long term condition

- Changing story of cancer
- Personalised Care
- What is cancer?
- Urgent referrals
- Cancer treatments and side effects
- Consequences of treatment
- Unmet needs of cancer patients
- Communication skills
- Motivational interviewing
- Sign posting
- How to conduct a CCR review, identifying patients and using the Emis Templates
- Mindfulness
This course will take place on the following dates and times:
- Day 1, 7th Sept 9.15-16.15
- Day 2, 14th Sept 9.15-16.15
- Day 3a 20th Sept 9.15-13.00 or day 3b 28th Sept 9.15-13.00
